Portable lighting must be set and focused. Don't forget the lighting controller. Place the lighting tree in front of the center-most support column. Connect the power to the socket in the floor pocket closest to the lighting tree. Block the cable in the floor pocket with a chair if necessary so that people don't trip on the cable.

If no other technical equipment is required for the event, then Events Staff will most likely clear the portable lighting, the lighting controller, and the AC extension cables at the end of the event. If they can’t clear the lighting, then at the very least they should unplug each lighting tree from the extension cable and store the lighting controller in the Tech office.
