In the event of a NATURAL DISASTER
- What is a natural disaster?
- Any event or force of nature that has catastrophic consequences, such as avalanche, earthquake, flood, forest fire, hurricane, lightning, tornado, tsunami, and volcanic eruption (dictionary.com) or zombie apocalypse.
Notify University Police (570-389-4168 / 2211) OR Call 911.
KUB Emergency Protocol
TORNADO:
- Go to the lowest building level, stay away from glass or doorways, take cover under something sturdy, and use arms to protect head and neck.
- Lowest building level: 100 level, Student Standards Office.
- Official tornado shelters in KUB:
- 100 level- Rooms 105, 106, 107
- 200 level- Rooms 209 (Hideaway), 211 (Tech Storage / Tech Lair), 226, 227, 232 (Games Room)
- 300 level- Rooms 309, 310, 311, 312, 314, 315, 319, 324, 334, 335, hallway between Multi A (345A) & Multi B (345B)
- 400 level- Rooms 437 (BR Lobby Mens' restroom), 438 (BR Lobby Womens' restroom), 424, 426
EARTHQUAKE:
- Drop to the ground, take cover under something sturdy, hold on, and stay away from glass (windows, doors, lights).
