   INTERM DIGITAL [ART 292]

Intermediate Digital Art is a continuation course that explores crossover and interplay between digital and traditional art making. This course further examines the use of the computer as an art-making tool through a variety of digital art practices. Typography, experimental book structures, and interactive design are introduced. Emphasis is placed on creative problem solving and the development of individual methods of visual expression. (3 credits) Prerequisite: ART291 or permission of instructor.

OBJECTIVES: Students will [1] Acquire more advanced standards of practice using digital technology; [2] Refine craftsmanship in the preparation and presentation of artwork; [3] Strengthen inventiveness, creative problem solving, and critical thinking skills; [4] Develop more advanced analysis skills through verbal and written evaluation of their own artwork and the work of others.
