ADVANCED DIGITAL [ART 393]

Advanced Digital Art provides advanced study in current digital media. Emphasis is on individual investigations, research, writing, and the development of a refined body of new work produced through intensive studio practice and conceptual interests. Explorations include large format printing, site-specific installations, and exhibition experience. (3 credits) Prerequisite: ART292 or permission of instructor. May be repeated.
OBJECTIVES: Students will [1] Master technical skills using a variety of digital media; [2] Identify and strengthen individual methods of visual expression informed by conceptual inquiry, creative problem solving, and critical thinking; [3] Present a cohesive body of work for exhibition and distribution; [4] Objectively analyze both verbally or in writing a critical evaluation of their own work and the work of others; [5] Develop strategies to support and maintain a disciplined and productive work ethic.
