Dr. Stephen D. Clickard |
Stephen D. Clickard received his BA degrees from San Jose State University in California and his MA from the University of Northern Colorado. In the summer of 1999, he received his DMA in Instrumental Conducting from the University of Washington, where he studied with Tim Salzman and served as a graduate assistant to Brad McDavid and the Husky Marching Band. He is in his fourth year as assistant professor of music at Bloomsburg University, where he is currently the Director of Jazz and Marching Band, and teaches, Studio Brass, Theory, Sight Singing, Jazz in America, and Jazz Improvisation. He is also the advisor for the Audio/Video Recording Major. He taught previously in California at Monterey Peninsula College and Pacific Grove High School, and has served as president of the California Music Educator's Association Central Coast Section. His professional experience includes performing, conducting and composing for the Seasoned Sounds Big Band, the Monterey Jazz Orchestra, and the Clickard Consortium, as well as an assistant directorship with the Monterey Jazz Festival's All-Star Jazz Ensemble on their tours to Australia, Europe and Japan.
