Final Exam and Overall Grades
There were 22 multiple choice questions (at 2 pts. each) and the problems were worth 56 points. Maximum possible raw score = 100.
Two questions were answered correctly by less than 30% of the class, the highest grade on the MC part of the exam was 2 questions wrong, I added 8 points onto every student’s raw score as an adjustment, this added almost a full letter grade on to everyone's final exam grade..
Columns are: MC Correct – number of m.c. items you answered correctly, PrPtsOff – number of points you had deducted for errors on the problems, PrPoints – number of points earned for responses to the problems, RawTot – total raw score, %of100 – raw score expressed as a percentage, adj%of100 – new grade as a percentage, with the curve, and finally Points of 20 – your grade converted to the 20 points this exam was worth

The lowest two quiz grades were dropped from the calculation of total points
If you believe there is an error in the numbers I have recorded for you, please let me know ASAP. If I did make a mistake it is easier to correct before grades are finalized by the registrar’s office.
If you are thinking about emailing me with one or more great reasons why I should change your grade to something other than the one you earned, please don't bother. Such messages will not receive a reply and will simply be deleted.
