Lackawanna County Juvenile Treatment Court

BHRI worked with the Lackawanna County Court System as the grant writer and outcomes evaluator for the County's Juvenile Drug Treatment Court. A proposal was submitted to and funded for nearly $500,000 by the U.S. Department of Justice Office of Drug Court Programs for an implementation grant for the local Juvenile Treatment Court.

Susquehanna County Tobacco Control Program

BHRI collaborated with the Susquehanna County Drug and Alcohol Program on writing of a grant proposal for the statewide implementation initiative for comprehensive tobacco control programs. This grant proposal was funded by the PA Department of Health for over $300,000.

Northeast PA Health Care Coordination Unit

BHRI coordinated with the four MR programs across the eight county northeastern PA region to develop the group's Health Care Coordinating Unit proposal which was submitted to and ultimately selected for funding at the multimillion dollar level by the PA office of Mental Retardation. BHRI staff and consultants, in collaboration with the county programs, developed both the proposal and the RFP's that were released to solicit bids on the HCCU contracts (this program was later renamed Health Care Quality Units).

Lackawanna-Susquehanna-Wayne Counties Autism Program Evaluation

The BHRI submitted a grant application to the Lackawanna-Susquehanna-Wayne Counties Mental Health/Mental Retardation program via their challenge grant process to carry out an initial evaluation of the programming that is provided in the counties for children with autism. This project was funded for $18,200 over two years.
