Club Presentation: Medical Schools and Their Requirements
Katie Mullen will be giving a presentation on Monday, 16 March at 4:30 PM in ABLE, Columbia Hall. She will be talking about different medical schools and their admissions requirements. If you have a particular medical school of interest, you may list this by signing up on the sheet placed on the Pre-Med Club bulletin board outside room 145 HSC.
The club is holding a dodgeball tournament at the Student Rec Center on Saturday 21 March at noon. Set up and registration will begin at 11 AM. Anyone is welcome to help set up at 11 AM. Each team should consist of 56 to 8 people and a fee of $5 is required for registration. A sign up sheet will be placed by the Pre-Med Club bulletin board. The funds raised will be used for Relay for Life. You do not have to be a club member to play. Please encourage you friends to come and help in this worthwhile cause.

Pre-Med March Madness
Interested in applying to professional schools in medical fields?
These workshops sponsored by BU’s pre-professional committee are just what the doctor ordered:
Sophomores and Juniors who are interested in careers in various medically-related professions (medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, chiropractic, optometry, dentistry, etc.) are strongly encouraged to attend the Pre-Med March Madness workshops to be held at ABLE in the Columbia Living Learning Community Room on the dates and times below:
Monday, March 2, at 5:30 p.m.: The Application Process. The Pre-Professional Advisory Committee will guide you through the rigors of applying to professional schools, including AMCAS and AADSAS. Students will share their experiences with the admissions process.
Monday, March 16, at 5:00 p.m.: Creating an Appropriate Resume. Sure you have a resume, but is it appropriate for your application? Come to this workshop with a print-out of your resume for break-out sessions of peer and advisor review. It is OK if the resume is kind of rough. Sophomores are especially encouraged to attend.
Monday, March 23, at 5:00 p.m.: Telling Your Story in the Personal Statement. Writing about yourself is probably the most difficult part of the application. For that reason, applicants tend to procrastinate in writing this important document. Come to this workshop with a printed rough draft of your personal statement, or at least some ideas on paper for break-out sessions of peer and advisor review. Juniors especially encouraged to come.
