Materials: We will use the Android Developer's Guide as our primary reference. It is free and online. There is no book to purchase for this course.

Overview: This team-based course provides an introduction to application development for mobile devices. We will focus on the Android platform—a software stack that includes an open-source operating system optimized for mobile devices, along with middleware, libraries, and APIs. The Android plugin for Eclipse gives us a powerful integrated environment that we will use for application development, which is done primarily in Java.
