Dr. Curt Jones received his B.S. degree from Lock Haven University
and his masters degree from the University of Iowa. His Ph.D. was
awarded from Penn State University. He is a native of the Bloomsburg
Area, having graduated from Southern Area High School. Dr. Jones'
research interests include: algorithmic graph theory, VLSI layout
algorithms, complexity theory, parallel computing and combinatorial
optimization problems. He has presented papers at several
conferences and published some of his work in computer science
journals.
Dr. Jones is currently the department chair and teaches two courses per year. During the fall semesters
he teaches a course in
Computer Ethicsa> to freshmen computer science and computer forensics students.
During spring semesters he insturcts a senior level project course in
Software Engineering.
Previosly he has taught courses in Operating Systems , Algorithms and Data
Structures , Programming Languages , and
Compiler Construction. He also teaches
Java , and
C++
programming.
